This propaganda campaign illustrates the negative impacts of cyber bullying and encourage teens to fight against our the enemy that is cyber bullying.
Propaganda has made a difference in many historical moments. One of the most popular was the Russian Revolution that took place in 1917. The Russian Revolution was caused by the mistreatment of people by the Czars(kings). At the end of the revolution Czar Nicholas ll was dislodge to his position and was killed together with all his family. After the revolution, Vladimir Lenin leader of the Bolsheviks took power and made Russia a communist country he help the country get back up because the revolution cause mass damage to Russia. Lenin died in January the 12 of 1886 of brain hemorrhage leaving Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky as candidate to take his place. Stalin will use his power to place his people in a place of power and those people were the ones that will help him win over Leon Trotsky. Stalin took power over Russia and declare Leon Trotsky to by a Nemesis of the country. Stalin took power and made Russia work under totalitarian government, a government where one person has total power over everything and everyone. Stalin used propaganda to make people happy and to make himself look as good guy when he really wasn't. What Stalin did was give hope to people using slogans and pictures. This is all known as propaganda. The type
of propaganda that Stalin used to make people have hope and look forward to something better is that he would do what everyone wanted. That’s one of the reasons why this type of propaganda became so effective .
In our poster’s we used different symbols in order to show cyber bullying full meaning. In one of them we showed a Facebook page that demonstrates someone being bullied. In the poster there is a message of a girl being bullied. So she decided to do if update her status with what she was feeling.” The message you sent to other people could hurt them and cause them to do a wrong discussion. What we demonstrated in another posters is the fact that cyber bullying causes depression, anxiety, sadness, loneliness, loss of interest in
activities, lower self esteem and suicide. The logo of the fist in the computer screen
demonstrates the fact how things could hurt somebody even through the screen. Our message is
represented in our posters because we show how bullying causes many things. In another poster we
used a quote that say’s have you ever heard of “ Stick and stone may break my bones but
words will never hurt me”?...Well they do so use your words wisely. So what this quote means
is that you can not only hurt people physically but you can also hurt them mentally.
In conclusion propaganda can be use to do good and bad changes. for example
in the Russian Revolution propaganda was use to get people to think something that
was not real. We are using propaganda to stop cyber bullying. To make people realize that
cyber bullying can cause permanent damage and change peoples life. Some people use
propaganda for good some use it for bad but at the end if you use the right techniques, color,
slogans and symbols the propaganda can become very effective to your purpose.
Hope is the last thing that a human can lose.
